A Beach Boys Reunion Is in the Works!

Last year, I wrote a blog post stating that a Beach Boys reunion with the surviving members of the band led by the amazing Brian Wilson and possibly members of Brian's road band would be a wonderful way to mark the band's 50th anniversary. They are inextricably woven into the fabric of American culture and burst onto the music scene at a time when America was far more optimistic than we are today. I welcome the following news and trust that you join me in wishing this effort the very best of success as the guys organize a tour:

Wow! They're having a blast! So excited for them :)

Jean-Luc Picard: They were part of my older sibling's generation, but I'd love to see the guys in concert.

Alisa: I've travelled through tiny Hawthorne, California and was surpised by how low-key and suburban it is. This band has a storied past, but their harmonies and hooks are fun!

Oh we'll have fun, fun, fun! The Beach Boys came to fame, indeed, when America "was far more optimistic than we are today." I'd like to think that their new album and reunion tour we'll rekindle some of that hopefulness. We sure can use it. ;)

I agree, Jayne. It's amazing the guys ironed out their differences and that Brian has been touring, married and became a new father. All good! It's also rather cool that David Marks will be with them. Sadly, Carl and Dennis are gone. But this is an amazing event!

P M: This will be a tour to look forward to, fun and very historic! It's hard to imagine that The Rolling Stones and Beach Boys have each been around for 50 years!
