One of the nicest ways to spend this weekend is listening to "Song Travels" on NPR Radio. Host Michael Feinstein spent an hour with singer-songwriter Shelby Lynne, and the fun that was had revealed some amazing musical surprises for listeners. Music is a precious gift for everyone to share. A surprising stand-out is George and Ira Gershwin's "Our Love Is Here To Stay". This lady is not only versatile, but one of the best singers in the business.

I will have to check out this offering by NPR. I love what they do--especially Story Corps.
Sandy: I played the final song over the telephone for a friend of mine who is sight-impaired and she loved hearing Shelby's voice!
Listening to radio will never go out of style.;) Happy New Year dear Michael, lovely picture of you as well.;)
xoxo
Zuzana: Hope you have time to click on and hear the show. It was very nice. Happy New Year, Zuzana! xoxo :)
I tend to be a big NPR person on the weekend: CarTalk; Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me, Prairie Home Companion, Pipe Dreams, etc. But don't think I've heard this one.
It was a fun visit, Sage. Try it out. I think you'll love Shelby's incredible voice. What a gift! :)
Hi Michael,

Have a great evening!
