A Musical Weekend with "Song Travels" on NPR Radio!

Meeting Shelby Lynne in Phoenix
One of the nicest ways to spend this weekend is listening to "Song Travels" on NPR Radio. Host Michael Feinstein spent an hour with singer-songwriter Shelby Lynne, and the fun that was had revealed some amazing musical surprises for listeners. Music is a precious gift for everyone to share. A surprising stand-out is George and Ira Gershwin's "Our Love Is Here To Stay". This lady is not only versatile, but one of the best singers in the business.

I will have to check out this offering by NPR. I love what they do--especially Story Corps.

Sandy: I played the final song over the telephone for a friend of mine who is sight-impaired and she loved hearing Shelby's voice!

I tend to be a big NPR person on the weekend: CarTalk; Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me, Prairie Home Companion, Pipe Dreams, etc. But don't think I've heard this one.
